Advisor, Group Benefits Sales
Bona Vita Benefits Group is seeking a licensed and experienced Health Insurance Sales Representative who specializes in group benefits for small and medium-sized businesses. The role involves developing new business, managing client relationships, and providing tailored insurance solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Prospect, develop, and close new group benefits business with small and medium-sized employers
Consult with business owners and decision-makers to assess needs and recommend tailored group benefit solutions
Sell and manage group health, ancillary, and employee benefit products
Present proposals, conduct enrollment meetings, and support implementation of new groups
Maintain and grow an existing book of business through renewals, upselling, and cross-selling
Provide ongoing service and support to clients to ensure high retention and satisfaction
Stay current on carrier offerings, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations
Meet or exceed individual sales, revenue, and retention goals
Travel regularly to client meetings, networking events, and industry functions within the assigned region
Qualification
Required
Active health insurance license (state-specific as applicable)
Proven track record of success selling group benefits to small and medium-sized companies
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets
Strong consultative sales, presentation, and negotiation skills
Experience managing renewals and maintaining long-term client relationships
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
Preferred
Established relationships within the SMB market
Experience with multiple carriers and benefit platforms
Knowledge of compliance requirements related to group benefits
