Program Coordinator I
Heravi Peace Institute is focused on community-based public health programs, and they are seeking a Program Coordinator I to support substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery initiatives. The role involves coordinating activities, managing data, supporting budgets, and engaging with community partners across Salt Lake and Tooele Counties.

Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day activities for substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery programs
Assist with the delivery of program content, including trainings, workshops, and community classes
Support curriculum development and refinement for trainings such as peer support certification, overdose response, and community education
Prepare presentation materials, handouts, and training resources
Collect, clean, and manage program data across multiple initiatives
Maintain databases and tracking systems using Excel/Google Sheets and REDCap
Assist with monitoring program outcomes and preparing data summaries for internal review, funders, and community partners
Support reporting requirements tied to grants, contracts, and settlement-funded programs
Assist with budget tracking and monitoring for multiple projects
Process expenses, reimbursements, and purchasing requests in accordance with organizational and grant requirements
Maintain organized records of expenditures, invoices, and supporting documentation
Coordinate logistics for community events, trainings, and meetings (e.g., registration, materials, space, technology)
Represent programs at community events, coalition meetings, and stakeholder gatherings
Communicate with community partners including public safety, healthcare providers, treatment organizations, peer support networks, and local government
Support relationship-building efforts that strengthen prevention, treatment, and recovery systems
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document notes or action items
Assist with drafting reports, summaries, and communications using Word and PowerPoint
Participate in continuous quality improvement activities
Perform other related duties as assigned to support program goals
Qualification
Required
Associate degree plus two years of related work experience; or a bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with data management and analysis using Excel or Google Sheets
Familiarity with REDCap or similar data collection platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace tools
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across different projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working in community-based, in-person settings
Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Tooele County
Ability to work some evenings or weekends to attend community events and trainings
Preferred
Background or experience in public health, substance use prevention, treatment, or recovery services
Experience supporting community-based programs or trainings
Familiarity with peer support models, harm reduction, or recovery-oriented systems of care
Experience working with justice-involved populations or mobile/community-based health services
