Union County, Pennsylvania is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide complex administrative and clerical support for Magisterial District Court 17-03-02. Government Administration

Responsibilities

Provide customer service in person, by phone, and in writing; respond to routine inquiries regarding court procedures, forms, and services
Perform advanced secretarial and administrative support for court management, including drafting, typing, editing, and proofreading correspondence and documents
Maintain calendars and schedules; coordinate and confirm appointments, hearings, meetings, and trainings
Process financial documentation such as invoices, purchase orders, check requests, and budget-related materials in coordination with County Finance
Enter, track, and maintain data related to court operations; compile information for reports and audits
Maintain filing systems in compliance with record retention requirements, including scanning, archiving, and confidential document destruction
Order and maintain office supplies and equipment inventories
Communicate effectively with judges, court staff, County officials, attorneys, law enforcement, and the public
Operate standard office equipment and computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of three (3) years of clerical or administrative experience, preferably in a court, legal, or governmental setting
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Proficiency in office software applications and standard office equipment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and exercise independent judgment
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
