Water and Wastewater Project Manager

Responsibilities
Lead multi-discipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects
Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects, to approved scope, budget, and schedule
Perform technical reviews and implement AECOM quality standards
Serve as a point of contact internally and externally for projects and clients in the Greater Philadelphia Area
Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff for career development
Support business development activities, including technical and cost pricing efforts for proposals
Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such
Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts, including technical and cost pricing
Actively participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering
Develop technical approach including scope, budget, schedule and resource needs for complex water/wastewater projects
Prepare budget proposals, track project cost and progress to ensure timely delivery
Oversee technical reports and ensure designs meet sound engineering principles
Highly collaborative, communicative and creative team leader
Interface with client and regulatory agencies
Manage project risk and ensure adherence to health and safety policies
Navigate complex regulatory requirements and the parameters associated to achieve project success
Qualification
Required
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 1 year
Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
Preferred
10+ years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management
Registered Professional Engineer in PA, NJ, DE or ability to obtain within 6 months
Previous experience leading scope, technical approach and pricing efforts for leading business development activities
Previous water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems and client relations experience
Previous experience leading client and public presentations
Ability to work collaboratively and motivate staff and project team
Previous experience leading design build/alternate delivery projects
