BIGO is a leading global technology company dedicated to connecting people through live streaming and other services. They are seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of core ads prediction models and optimize machine learning systems for their advertising business.

Responsibilities

Architect and own the end-to-end development of our core ads prediction models (pCTR, pCVR, etc.), from experimentation to production deployment

Lead large-scale feature engineering initiatives, leveraging terabyte-scale datasets to refine ad targeting and bidding strategies

Drive model innovation by researching, prototyping, and implementing state-of-the-art techniques in areas like Deep Learning, Multi-Task Learning, and Reinforcement Learning

Analyze the full ads delivery stack to identify opportunities and craft data-driven solutions for challenges in traffic exploration, ecosystem health, and system stability

Mentor other engineers and set the technical direction for the ads machine learning roadmap

Required

M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field

5+ years of industry experience in building and shipping machine learning models for large-scale systems, with a proven track record in ads, recommendation, or search

Deep expertise in Deep Learning and hands-on experience with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch

Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java

Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment
