Responsibilities
Unpack, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists or purchase orders; report discrepancies or damages
Sort, label, and store items in designated locations using methods like FIFO; maintain stockroom layout
Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; update inventory records in ERP/WMS systems; track stock movements and discrepancies
Pick, pack, and prepare material for shipment or internal distribution; create shipping documentation and stage orders
Generate reports on inventory levels and variances; communicate stock shortages or overages to supervisors; collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams
Keep the stockroom clean and organized; adhere to safety procedures for handling materials; dispose of packaging and damaged items per company policy
Qualification
Required
Receiving & Verification: Unpack, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists or purchase orders; report discrepancies or damages
Storage & Organization: Sort, label, and store items in designated locations using methods like FIFO; maintain stockroom layout
Inventory Control: Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; update inventory records in ERP/WMS systems; track stock movements and discrepancies
Order Fulfillment & Shipping Support: Pick, pack, and prepare material for shipment or internal distribution; create shipping documentation and stage orders
Reporting & Coordination: Generate reports on inventory levels and variances; communicate stock shortages or overages to supervisors; collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams
Safety & Maintenance: Keep the stockroom clean and organized; adhere to safety procedures for handling materials; dispose of packaging and damaged items per company policy
Requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience
Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in warehouse, stockroom, or logistics preferred
Forklift certification and OSHA training may be required depending on the role
Familiarity with inventory systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or RFID technology is advantageous
