Responsibilities
Develop a clear understanding of the scope of the project using data from reports, maps, aerial photographs, soil composition tests, and more
Create plans using AutoCAD as the primary tool for project designs
Serve as a mentor for less experienced team members in AutoCAD and career growth
Work with utility companies, governmental entities, and sub-consultants to coordinate roles in project planning and development
Monitor the budget and ensure labor and expense costs stay within forecasted range
Prepare reports to ensure transparency and accuracy in construction schedules, environmental impact studies, legal documentation, and more
Meet with clients to discuss changes and resolve their questions or concerns
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
2+ years of related experience or training
Experience with AutoCAD
Strong proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and project management software
Driver's license, acceptable driving record, and the willingness to occasionally travel overnight
Licensure as a professional engineer (PE) is required
