Extra-Help Student Intern
Merced County is seeking an Extra-Help Student Intern to provide general assistance while gaining valuable work experience. The role involves working with foster youth and performing clerical tasks such as scheduling, copying, and filing.

Responsibilities
Provide general assistance while gaining valuable work experience
Perform clerical tasks such as scheduling, telephone skills, copying, filing, document scanning and transporting youth
Qualification
Required
Experience working with foster youth
Clerical experience
Scheduling skills
Telephone skills
Copying skills
Filing skills
Document scanning skills
Transporting youth
Preferred
Knowledge and/or experience with/of child welfare services or working with children
Experience facilitating training groups or delivering presentations
Individuals who are, or have been, a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth, or a formerly incarcerated youth as defined by Government Code section 31000.11 are encouraged to apply and will be given priority
Benefits
Extra-help employees are entitled to accrue up to five (5) paid sick days (40 hours) in a 12-month period.
The County does provide benefits to those eligible under the State Workers Compensation and Unemployment Insurance statutes.
