Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements

Debug existing software and correct defects

Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features

Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments

Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories

Write or review software and system documentation

Required

Current DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph

A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty years (20) years of general software engineering experience OR

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements

Debug existing software and correct defects

Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features

Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments

Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories

Write or review software and system documentation

Knowledge or experience in DevOps, Automated testing and CI/CD pipelines in Git

Knowledge or experience in Container and Container Management i.e. Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes and Rancher

Knowledge or experience in Modern software languages such as Go/Golang and micro-service architecture development

Knowledge or experience in C++20 or newer based on Boost (2 years)

Knowledge or experience in Java (4 years)

Knowledge or experience in Front End Development with Javascript and/or React or other frameworks

Knowledge or experience in Python (2 years)

Knowledge or experience in Linux Development Environment (1 year)

Knowledge or experience in Circuit Switched and Mobile Telephony (5 years)

Knowledge or experience in Reactor pattern architecture systems

Knowledge or experience in Developing event stream processing systems

Knowledge or experience in SQL (MySQL, MariaDB) and Elasticsearch

Knowledge or experience in Dataflow tools and message queues

Knowledge or experience in AI experience with regards to Human-Language Translation tools and techniques
