Director, Operations- Americas
Oliver Healthcare Packaging is seeking a Director of Operations to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of quality products to customers. The role involves managing manufacturing, engineering, and warehousing functions while driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, growth, and morale.

Responsibilities
Maintain and improve a safety culture that provides a low-risk work environment and the employee commitment to behave in a safe manner at all times
Ensure that all environmental, OSHA, and local regulatory requirements are met for training, documentation and reporting
Develop programs to deliver six sigma levels of quality to internal and external customers
Drive the company’s quality standards to comply with cGMP and ISO 13485
Reduce patient safety risk through supporting the development and use of FMEAs and control plans
Support response to customer complaints through the company’s CAPA procedure
Contain potential problems, investigate causes, implement solutions and prevent the problem from recurring
Visit customers or host visits as necessary to create and maintain relationships
Support development and management of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process in partnership with the planning, procurement, commercial, and finance teams
Meet or exceed lead time and On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) goals
Balance the need to reduce inventories, meet customer promises, and optimize the productivity of the operation
Support commercial team through product managers in developing capabilities and capacity necessary to grow the business
Lead lean sigma initiatives to deliver continuous improvement in manufacturing KPIs
Audit compliance to the systems and monitor results
Recommend and prioritize capital projects that will drive improvements and sustainable scorecard results
Incorporate digital technologies to deliver breakthrough and/or sustainable results
Model the company values and design the organization to create a culture of customer focus, continuous improvement, thinking clearly, include & empower, and winning as a team
Coordinate routine employee updates on site level performance and key projects
Develop the workforce’s technical, and communication skills to ensure operational performance can be sustained over time and disruptions to customer needs are prevented
Ensure the consistent and thoughtful application of company policies and programs by working closely with Human Resources
Work with the global operations team to set and communicate operating strategy
Prepare thoughtful operational plans, key performance indicator (KPI) targets, and budgets
Work with the finance team to deliver improvements in operating profit and cash flow
Manage stretch assignments based on agreed upon priorities with the VP of Global Operations
Support strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency for the site(s)
Interact regularly with site-level and global operations leadership teams
Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Engineering, Technical, Business or closely related field
10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience with multi-site responsibility
Strong speaking and writing skills
Knowledge of lean sigma and history of optimizing manufacturing processes
Demonstrated ability to cultivate a continuous improvement culture
Personality traits – self-starter, results oriented, initiative, sense of urgency, good communications skills, and ability to work with details
Possesses strong tendencies to work in partnership with both colleagues and customers
