EPC Services Company, a leading power/utility engineering consultant and construction firm, is seeking Electrical Test Engineers and Senior Test Engineers to join their team. The role involves testing and maintenance on medium and high voltage systems, with a significant amount of travel required.

Responsibilities

Perform testing and maintenance on medium and high voltage systems
Conduct medium and high voltage apparatus testing and functional verification of control, protection, and alarm circuits
Provide setting and testing protective relays and functional verification of control, protection, and alarm circuits for Senior Test Engineers
Understand and interpret test results from Doble, Fluke and other test equipment operation
Read and understand technical documentation and users manuals
Be familiar with IEEE standards and ANSI/IEEE system device function numbers
Demonstrate thorough understanding of substation physical drawings, equipment wiring diagrams and substation control schematics
Explain all aspects of substation protection philosophy, feeder protection, breaker failure protection, bus protection, power transformer protection, cap bank protection, and distance protection

Required

BSEE, BSME or BSEEET degree
6-10 years' experience for Senior Test Engineer or equivalent combination of education and experience
Senior Test Engineers must be able to obtain NICET Level III certification
strong understanding of safe work practices
excellent organizational skills
strong written and verbal communication skills
working knowledge of test equipment
ability to be insured to drive company vehicles
