Commercial Project Manager– Finance Controller

Responsibilities

Oversee the Limits of Authority (LoA) process during bids, assess contractual terms with legal, evaluate risks, and ensure compliance during project execution
Adhere to internal and external guidelines, including Business Conduct, Financial Reporting (IFRS, US-GAAP), PM@Siemens, tax, export control, EHS, ICFR/RIC, and signature authorities
Establish financial project setups, maintain accuracy in calculations and records throughout the project
Partner with the Project Manager to manage financial results, focusing on gross profit, cash flow, assets, and opportunity management
Perform budgeting, forecasting, cost control, cash flow reconciliation, and deviation analysis
Present commercial topics in project meetings and escalate critical issues when necessary
Collaborate on cost adjustments, variations, and claims. Minimize non-conformance costs and define corrective measures
Assess risks and opportunities, propose measures to prevent margin slippage, and improve project performance
Ensure timely invoicing, manage receivables, and maximize cash flow
Coordinate procurement efforts to ensure best bids within budget and compliance with customer contracts
Manage performance guarantees, insurances, taxes, and sureties
Manage customer expectations and resolve commercial issues
Encourage team accountability and conduct lessons-learned reviews for continuous improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or 3+ years of Siemens related experience
3+ years of work experience in commercial project controlling/management in complex construction projects
Successfully work a Hybrid Role
Required travel: 10-20%

Preferred

Master's degree in business administration
Proficiency with related SAP modules
CMP@Siemens certificate preference
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and adapt to changing circumstances
Resilience in managing complex projects and overcoming challenges
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
