Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Fiori, Solution Manager)
Perform system copies, client copies, support packs, kernel upgrades, and SAP Notes application
Manage transport routes (CTS/CTS+), troubleshooting import failures, and supporting release cycles
Monitor and tune SAP application servers, work processes, buffers, and logs
Troubleshoot system errors including dumps (ST22), performance bottlenecks (ST03/ST06), and RFC issues
Coordinate quarterly patching cycles including OS, DB, SAP kernels, and CVE remediation
Monitor and tune system performance (work processes, memory, I/O, HANA DB, application servers)
Analyze logs, dumps, traces, and resolve system errors proactively
Work with functional and development teams to support integration and performance issues
Manage CTS/CTS+ transport routes and ensure compliant movement of changes across DEV → QA → PROD
Support change control processes and release cycles
Use Solution Manager, or third-party tools for monitoring and alerting
Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
Support on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance windows
Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
Strong understanding of networking (VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, VPNs)
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.) for automation
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
AWS Infrastructure Management of provisioning, configuring and maintaining AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.); Manage EC2 instances, Auto Scaling, and load balancing for performance and availability; Manage AWS VPC, subnets, security groups, and routing for secure networking
Set up and monitor AWS CloudWatch for resource usage, performance, and security metrics; Identify, troubleshoot, and manage resolution of AWS-related incidents and service disruptions
Implement IAM roles, policies, and best practices to ensure secure access management; Regularly audit and ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements; Manage data encryption, key management, and secure access to AWS resources
Monitor cloud usage and optimize resources for cost-efficiency; Use AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, and other tools to identify cost-saving opportunities; Review and recommend appropriate cloud service plans and architecture adjustments
Implement and manage backup strategies using AWS services (e.g., S3, Glacier, EBS Snapshots); Design and test disaster recovery plans for critical applications hosted on AWS
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Basis administration across SAP systems (S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, Fiori)
Proficiency with AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, CloudWatch)
Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
Strong understanding of networking (VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, VPNs)
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.) for automation
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Familiarity with Identity Management tools, LDAP and Active Directory
SAP Basis Experience a Must
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Business or other related field preferred
Training or Certification in AWS Cloud Administration
