Strategic Client Group Analyst
Principal Financial Group is a leading firm in the financial services and technology sector, seeking a Strategic Client Group Analyst to support their sales teams in engaging with institutional clients. The role involves providing insights through competitive analysis and market research, preparing materials for meetings, and maintaining client relationship management systems.

Responsibilities
Support relationship managers and/or institutional sales team members with day-to-day activities
Act as a team representative and critical liaison with external and internal constituents -providing timely and professional responses related to capability/firm inquiries, information requests and strategy updates
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to provide insights related to industry trends and peer positioning
Prepare briefing materials for upcoming meetings, conferences and industry events; manage the requests and delivery of presentations and pitch materials
Maintain Sales Force CRM: data entry, clean-up, validation and proactive reporting and engagement tracking for effective team outreach
Create and update internal Power Point presentations, take meeting notes, track action items and follow up
Manage contact lists and oversee the team’s coordinated outreach related to specific offerings and firm announcements
Assist with project work: pipeline tracking and strategic initiatives
Regularly review consultant websites for current search activity and update business profiles based on client and consultant exposures, preferences, historical investment interests and decision-making processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or eight years of equivalent experience
FINRA licensing required within 90 days of employment including SIE, Series 7, Series 63 licenses
Must have basic PC skills, database experience and spreadsheet skill
Ability to learn systems and applications/databases, including Salesforce
Must be able to attend to the day to day details while maintaining a strategic focus
High energy, relentless passion to succeed and willingness to give back to team and community
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
High level of accountability and maintains professional and ethical standards
Analytical / Reasoning skills
Willingness to become proficient utilizing technology including salesforce and other client marketing tools
Preferred
Investment product and capital markets knowledge preferred
Creative and persuasive marketer with ability to leverage technology and data analytics
