Responsibilities

Create ideas and refine designs for power circuit protection devices, including switches, ac and dc circuit breakers, power circuit protectors, automatic transfer switches, arc quenching devices, and accessories for all the above, ensuring optimal performance and reliability

Conducting within the team simulations and analyses to evaluate design feasibility and performance, using software tools such as Creo and Teamcenter and electrical simulation programs

Direct the prototyping and testing phases, analyzing results to validate designs and make necessary adjustments to meet performance criteria

Prepare detailed documentation of design processes, test results, and project reports to support compliance and future development efforts

Work closely with international cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management, to ensure seamless project execution and integration

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance design processes and product offerings

Identify and implement innovative design approaches and technologies to enhance product functionality, efficiency, and sustainability

Lead project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful completion of design initiatives and alignment with strategic objectives within the assigned tasks

Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and project updates for stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of experience with circuit protection product engineering, product manufacturability and engineering changes

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred

Experience designing power distribution equipment, switch devices, switchgear, or circuit breakers

Proficient in the use of: Pro/Engineer (Creo), Minitab, SAP, Project Management Tools, Siemens Teamcenter

Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Knowledge in design thinking, artificial intelligence (AI), and Agile methodologies to drive innovative solutions and ensure efficient project execution

Additive Manufacturing knowledge

Product launch tools experience is a plus (PPAP, FMEA, etc)
