Responsibilities
Partner with product leadership to identify and prioritize platform products and features for packaging and pricing
Develop and implement pricing and packaging strategies for Guidewire’s platform products, simplifying choices and aligning them with customer value and revenue goals
Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to craft new business models, define strategies for new offerings, and optimize monetization for existing products
Design and lead qualitative and quantitative market research to test pricing and packaging hypotheses
Conduct competitive market research in both direct and adjacent markets
Develop recommendations and influence senior executives to gain alignment on platform pricing strategies
Manage expectations and educate internal stakeholders, incorporating their feedback into strategy
Support the rollout of new pricing models by working with Product Development, Business Operations, Finance, Revenue, Sales, and Marketing teams
Assist with sales escalations and global negotiation frameworks outside existing pricing structures
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement
3+ years of platform pricing or strategy experience
3+ years of experience in a software technology company, preferably enterprise software
Experience with multiple business models, including usage-based
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts simply and influence senior management decisions
Intellectual curiosity and a creative, strategic approach to business problem-solving
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage cross-functional projects
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Familiarity with developer-focused software products and their business models
Experience with pricing and packaging tools for platforms like AWS, Azure, or other infrastructure providers
Prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, pricing/product strategy, or product management
