Jobs via Dice is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to analyze and document batch job dependencies. The role focuses on understanding complex job flows, mapping impacts, and providing clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Analyze and document dependencies across JCL streams, procs, programs, and datasets using mainframe cross reference and control panels (e.g., 1.D.5.X, library utilities, job schedulers)

Build and maintain end to end job flow diagrams

JCL Changes (Procs and Jobs) to remove file input references. This would include JCL testing after the changes

Put Dummy reference into JCL and Test JCL (Set up test files - create test data or copy from another source)

Submit work orders to stop jobs from running

Required

Minimum of 7 years related work experience programming and supporting software applications

The completion of a technical training program and 4 years related work experience programming and supporting software applications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology related field of study and 4 years related work experience programming and supporting software applications
