Senior SharePoint Engineer
Government Tactical Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior SharePoint Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Microsoft SharePoint environments. The role involves managing the technical architecture and ensuring the functionality of SharePoint systems within the organization.

Responsibilities
Design and architect enterprise SharePoint environments (on-premises and/or SharePoint Online), including farm topology, service applications, web applications, and site collection architecture
Plan high-availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) configurations using SQL Server AlwaysOn, geo-redundancy, and backup/restore strategies
Lead full lifecycle migrations of SharePoint platforms (e.g., SharePoint 2013/2016 to SharePoint 2019, SharePoint SE or SharePoint Online), including assessment, planning, content inventory, tool selection (ShareGate, Metalogix, etc.), execution, and validation
Perform in-place or database-attach upgrades, ensuring schema compatibility, service continuity, and data integrity
Troubleshoot and resolve complex migration issues related to customizations, content types, workflows, and integrations
Configure and manage core backend SharePoint services (e.g., User Profile Service, Managed Metadata, Search, Business Connectivity Services, Secure Store)
Integrate SharePoint with enterprise services like Active Directory, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Exchange, and SQL Server
Define engineering standards for SharePoint backend environments, including naming conventions, patching windows, and change control processes
Collaborate with architects and other engineers to review and validate infrastructure changes before deployment
Monitor and tune SharePoint farm performance using tools such as ULS Viewer, Health Analyzer, PerfMon, and SQL Profiler
Optimize SQL Server performance for SharePoint, including index tuning, maintenance plans, and I/O analysis
Analyze and resolve latency, load balancing, and resource contention issues across WFE, App, and DB tiers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline + 8 years' experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experience
Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365
Microsoft SharePoint Administration certificate in multiple versions
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of SharePoint Server engineering experience
Experience with SQL Server/Oracle database structures and processes
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Internet Information Server (MS IIS)
User-Centric UI and UX front-end design experience
User Interface Design, web design, technology security, relational database exposure, and OO principles
Experience in HTML, ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript, XML, Oracle 12c, Web API, and ASP technologies Platforms
