Responsibilities

Provide instruction to students in Mechatronics and Industrial Systems courses

Perform technical training for industry as needed

Demonstrate use of appropriate teaching techniques

Demonstrate the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record keeping required

Understand and be experienced in practices and procedures in the Mechatronics field

Follow appropriate course syllabi

Complete all documentation related to assigned courses in a timely manner and maintain an accurate inventory of all assigned property

Required

Associate's Degree in the teaching discipline (Mechatronics or IST) from a regionally accredited institution with verifiable credentials, qualifications, or competencies appropriate for teaching the course content

Three (3) years of work related experience

Preferred

Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level in the field of Mechatronics, industrial systems, and computer science

Competency in Microsoft Office application programs

At least five years of work experience is highly desirable

Industry-specific certifications are preferred

Industry experience within a related career field is also highly desired
