Kuehne+Nagel is a global leader in logistics, and they are seeking an Air Logistics Warehouse Specialist to join their team in Chicago. This role involves optimizing processes in the warehouse, ensuring efficient movement and storage of materials, and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Use material handling (MH) equipment to unload incoming materials from trailers including the use of forklift, reach truck, order picker or other heavy MH equipment

Verify and receive materials into inventory

Marks and categorizes packages for storage or transit, which may include palletizing and shrink-wrapping

May be required to stack pallets and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds

Use of MH equipment to move and store materials within the warehouse

Use of MH equipment to pick, verify and pack orders according to standard practice

Use of MH equipment or other designated means to load goods into trailers or other designated transport vehicles for distribution

Works from pick sheet to pull product or supplies

Check orders against pull sheets

Dangerous Goods - ensuring the necessary procedures must be followed, and these shipments must be stored in the designated section of the warehouse

Maintain warehouse clean and free of debris at all times

Adhere to local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive, but not limited, to OSHA, DOT, EPA and other government agencies

Shift schedule is Tuesday - Saturday from 10.00 PM - 6.30 AM (overnights)

1+ years of current experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment operating material handling (MH) equipment

Relevant certification required for handling any hazardous material(s)
