Program Business Development Director

Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities by building new relationships and expanding existing ones (Direct, Assumed, Embedded)
Manage all lines offered direct or assumed, including MGA discovery
Utilize CRM tools to track program status and execution
Analyze program market trends and churn to support retention and growth
Coordinate program-specific conferences (e.g., Target Markets)
Foster internal collaboration across HSB/MRe teams (Portfolio, Embedded, Direct, Digital Enablement, Equipment Breakdown, Cyber, Energy, etc.)
Partner with the program operations team and expert tracks to enable and service individual programs
Oversee new and existing programs to ensure long-term profitable growth and portfolio health

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in sales or marketing preferred
At least seven years of professional experience in Property & Casualty or Surplus Line industries, or five years' experience with HSB Energy products, programs, and services
Minimum three years of experience handling large, complex clients and accounts
General knowledge of property casualty insurance
Specific product line expertise (ED, EPL, etc.)
Ability to assess and understand workflows
Business finance acumen
Consultative selling and presentation skills
Comprehensive knowledge of HSB products, programs, and services
Project management and territory/client management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
