Associa is a leading company in community management with over 225 branch offices across North America. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist with daily maintenance tasks, respond to maintenance issues, and perform various repair functions while ensuring tenant satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily maintenance tasks, such as service requests and property make-ready
Respond to maintenance related issues in a timely manner
Perform various maintenance functions including repairs to the following: electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines
Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair
Responsible for work order systems accuracy by verifying all orders are completed in a timely manner to company standards and the tenant’s satisfaction
Ensure maintenance requests are handled as quickly, efficiently and effectively as possible and always completed within 24 hours. Inform Property Manager and resident if work delayed due to needed parts
Promptly communicate with the property manager concerning all maintenance issues at the property

Required

High school diploma or equivalent is required
At least five years of experience in the property management industry or directly related field
General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, general maintenance
Previous renovation/rehab or minor construction experience
Ability to read, write and understand English
Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, computer, printer, copier, and etc
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Must maintain professional appearance
Must maintain a valid driver's license, clean
