Clear track record as Structure cabling engineer (fiber & copper low voltage) leading initiatives related to structured cabling, Site Surveys, cabling standards, designs, installations and validations, etc
Strong with Structure cabling design, design review and new greenfield designs Describe
Strong Site survey, feasibility review and recommendations. Describe
Understands best practices of cabling installations, test/validation and reviews
Understand Structured Cabling Standards based on BICSI, TIA and local NYC cabling codes. Describe
Able to understand/analyze copper and fiber test results. Describe
Strong with RFI, RFP review, as-builts
Strong Cabling Documentation, Change Control, and Project Management for fiber & copper low voltage for data and telecom
Strong communicator with detail to attention
Understands MEP, AV, Security, Smart Building (IoT), WiFi, DAS, Auxiliary Radio Communications, Vertical Transport
Soft Skills: Able to work with all levels of people in team including customers, managers, users and technicians. Strong Problem-Solving skills and task deliverables oriented
Strong communication skills: clear English speaking & written; Able to lead discussions related to our projects
Documentation skills: able to produce or modify project docs in a clear and precise manner
Qualification
Required
RCDD certification or BICSI INST or BICSI FIBER certifications
Reside near New York City
Able to work onsite daily M-F 9-5pm
Able to walk distances across different facilities, floors, stairs, steps, etc
5-20+ years of experience as a Structured Cabling Engineer (fiber & copper low voltage)
Clear track record leading initiatives related to structured cabling, Site Surveys, cabling standards, designs, installations and validations
Strong with Structured cabling design, design review and new greenfield designs
Strong Site survey, feasibility review and recommendations
Understands best practices of cabling installations, test/validation and reviews
