Saint Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Senior Accountant who coordinates, implements, and oversees the entity's complex accounting activities. The role involves training staff, reviewing financial statements, and completing complex accounting tasks with oversight from the finance team.

Responsibilities

Training and providing daily supervision of staff accountants accounting specialists accounting technicians and accounting interns
Reviews recorded journal entries and monthly financial statements identifying unusual or significant variances to ensure financial statements are fairly stated
Completion of accounting areas that are more complex or judgmental in nature with oversight from the manager or finance team
Position is responsible for special projects as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree - Accounting
3-5 years experience
Advanced Excel experience – comfort utilizing formulas, pivot tables, xlookup, vlookup, etc
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Eager to problem solve, takes initiative, and works independently
Adaptability and critical thinking
Communication with physicians – routine, dependable, and professional
Must be organized and highly detail-oriented
