Responsibilities

Testing of configurations and verifying configurations on the Distribution SCADA Test System prior to rollout into the Production Environment
Support the team’s engineers and help in supporting the programming, testing and deploying of new configurations for the DA System
Assist in day-to-day review of the communications logs and switch repairs; work with operations personnel to commission new equipment
Processing of GIS mapping files and scripting/programming to enable better functionality and automation on various systems

Required

The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering and graduating between December 2026 and June 2029
Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026
PSEG Long Island recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration
This position will require traveling to various PSEG Long Island locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required

Preferred

Pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree with a 3.0 GPA
Knowledge of Networking / TCP/IP, LINUX, software scripting/programming and communication systems
Have good communication and writing skills
