Hendrick Motorsports is seeking an experienced Race Engine Block - Cleaning / Wash Technician. This role involves cleaning and inspecting engine blocks using various tools and equipment to ensure they are prepared for the next overhaul step.

Responsibilities

Responsible for shop and break room clean-up, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing

Responsible for cleaning engine blocks that have been routed to the cleaning department after the engine has been disassembled

Responsible for removing grease build-up, corrosion products, etc., as well as preparing blocks for the next overhaul step using various cleaning compounds and chemical solutions, spray guns, brushes, etc

Responsible for operating Storm Vulcan and Stingray block washing machines

Completes forms associated with work assignments according to established procedures

Responsible for the completion of assigned shop tasks and projects, including providing support to other technicians to complete necessary work in a timely manner

Maintain a safe, clean, and neat work environment through proper housekeeping and organization

The position requires regular and predictable attendance

Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays

Must be able to work a flex schedule as needed

Requires vision (near, distance, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety glasses, hearing protection

Constantly manually manipulates, squats or kneels, bends, lifts/carries up to 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls 12 pounds or less

Frequently stands, walks, sits, reaches outward, reaches above shoulder, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds

Occasionally climbs, crawls, lifts/carries up to and over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds
