Responsibilities

Modifications of chemical manufacturing processes to resolve bottlenecks and increase production capacity

Evaluation of treatment processes to solve air emission or wastewater discharge issues

Specification of utility systems such as compressed air, nitrogen, distilled water, hot oil systems, and steam supply

Process modeling of steady stat, batch, and dynamic processes using ChemCAD

Chemical process development and pilot testing support

Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)

Heat and Material Balances (HMBs)

Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

Functional equipment specifications

Estimates for air emissions and waste generation rates

Qualification

Required

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited university

Major: Chemical Engineering
