Responsibilities
The Avionics Technician I (Level I) provides entry‑level electrical and avionics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for the SOF GLSS rotary‑wing fleets
The duties of this title will perform many tasks independently
The candidate will commonly assist or work within general instructions from higher rated employees in the environment
The duties will include scheduled and unscheduled modifications, inspections, and ensure all electrical systems meet airworthiness standards to support time‑critical Special Operations missions

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start
The Avionics Technician I (Level I) provides entry-level electrical and avionics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for the SOF GLSS rotary-wing fleets

Preferred
Specific Aircraft Electrical Experience
Experience with MD-500 / AH-MH-6 or similar small-helicopter platforms – troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and component replacement
Familiarity with Larger Helicopter Airframes
Knowledge of electrical systems on CH-MH-47 and UH-MH-60 airframes; ability to support multiple platforms
Certifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, DoD/USAF avionics or electrical certification, or equivalent military qualifications preferred
Technical Training Completion of aircraft electrical/avionics maintenance courses (e.g., Rotor-Wing Electrical Maintenance School)
