Senior Director, Technology Leader Surgery RAD Polyphonic

Responsibilities
Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization’s goals for digitalization of healthcare and enhanced experiences in the operating room
Oversee the design, deployment, and management of secure, scalable IT systems, including cloud infrastructure, data analytics platforms, and medical device integration
Lead the selection and implementation of healthcare IT solutions that improve workflow efficiency, data interoperability, and user experience for clinical staff
Ensure adherence to healthcare IT regulations, cybersecurity standards, and best practices in data privacy (e.g., GDPR, ISO 13485, MDR)
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess needs, prioritize IT projects, and deliver innovative technology solutions
Promote a culture of agile development, continuous improvement, and technical excellence across IT teams
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends relevant to healthcare IT, championing the adoption of future-ready solutions that drive organizational impact
Represent the IT function in board meetings, vendor negotiations, and industry forums
Contribution to broader J&J Technology & J&J MedTech Technology strategies
Contribution to the progression of DE&I and talent agendas for J&J Technology & J&J MedTech Technology organizations
Support Business Development & Innovation Partnership – assess strategic fit of partners and technology
Change management across J&J MedTech and JJT related to our Digital Transformation and High Performing Team model
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree or equivalent through experience
15 Years of Related Experience
Deep understanding of the digital transformation landscape, including AI/ML, robotics, cloud computing, data security, and digital health ecosystems
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., MDR, FDA, GDPR) and standards relevant to medical technology and digital health
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
10+ years in IT leadership roles, with significant experience in healthcare IT environments or similar complex, regulated domains
Deep expertise in developing and managing digital solutions for clinical settings, including the integration of medical devices, real-time data systems, and user-facing applications
Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM), cybersecurity frameworks, and system interoperability
Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary IT teams, manage large-scale projects, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
25% travel required domestically and internationally

Preferred
Master's or PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field or equivalent through experience
