Broadcast IT Engineer
WDRB Media is a dynamic company in the broadcast industry seeking a tech-savvy Broadcast IT Engineer. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting studio and broadcast systems while participating in live events and news coverage.
Responsibilities
Keep our studios, control rooms, and live broadcasts running smoothly
Troubleshoot video, audio, and IT systems controlled by IP network protocols (you’ll learn a lot fast)
Help with field shoots and big live events
Set up, repair, and maintain equipment and tech workflows
Be part of the team during breaking news and severe weather coverage
Participate in the maintenance and repair of the towers, antennas, transmitters, and transmission lines
Qualification
Required
2+ years of IT or Broadcast Engineering experience
Solid troubleshooting instincts and a willingness to ask/learn
The ability to oversee and interact with IT-based workflows in an automated environment
Commanding knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and IP-based tech
Team-oriented, calm under pressure, and ready to adapt
Preferred
Associates degree or military experience in IT/Electronics or related area
experience with Nversion, Avid, Ross Overdrive, or Harmonic
