Responsibilities
Conducts the day-to-day operations of the Source-to-Contract function for IT categories, including sourcing event management, price and other contract terms negotiation, contract drafting, negotiation, and execution, and stakeholder management activities. Delivers against defined Service Levels
Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, legal and company policies and procedures
Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position, utilizing market intelligence, risk assessments, and total cost projections
Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility
Supports development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility
Creates Value by developing strong, value-added working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations
Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team
Oversee the end-to-end sourcing process, from supplier identification and evaluation to contract negotiation and finalization, ensuring alignment with business goals and cost optimization
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (i.e., SLAs, CDAs, MDAs) with suppliers and service providers, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and operational standards
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, managing performance, resolving issues, and ensuring long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships
Work closely with internal stakeholders (i.e., legal, finance) to align sourcing strategies, provide guidance on contract terms, and ensure organizational objectives are met
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in sourcing and contracting processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies
Drive process improvements within the sourcing and contracting functions, utilizing data analysis, automation, and best practices to increase efficiency and reduce cost
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent University degree is required
Six years of procurement, sourcing, contract management, finance, or other relevant business experience
Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills: Should be regarded as a constructive player representing Source-to-Contract and overall procurement in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them
Learning Agility & Openness to Change
Fluency in English (written and oral) is required
Strong background in negotiating commercial and legal terms within various contracts (i.e., SLAs, CDAs, MSAs)
Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, etc.) to align sourcing with business goals
Skilled in data-driven decision-making and risk mitigation for sourcing and contracting strategies
Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple contracts and projects, ensuring on-time delivery and execution
Preferred
IT Procurement experience and/or legal certifications
Good understanding of Requisition-to-pay and Source-to-settle processes and operations is preferred
Experience in one or more Procurement Functional domains: Sourcing incl. negotiation of commercial and non-commercial terms, Category management, R2P or Accounts Payable
Shared Services Industry experience is preferred
Fluency in one other language ((written and oral) for the supported region is preferred
Experience in Pharma & MedTech industries and understanding of its supply chain and supplier landscape
Familiarity with tools like SAP Ariba, Service Now, or similar e-sourcing/e-procurement systems
Experience managing global sourcing and understanding international regulations and compliance
Proven leadership experience; ability to mentor teams and drive process improvements using automation and innovation
