Enforcement Counsel - Full-time

The Missouri Ethics Commission (MEC) is seeking an attorney to serve as Enforcement Counsel in its Jefferson City office. The role involves handling administrative cases, communicating with individuals and attorneys, negotiating settlements, and preparing for hearings before the Commission and other courts.

Responsibilities

Handling administrative cases that are pending before the Commission
Communicating with individuals and/or other attorneys regarding cases
Negotiating settlement of such cases whenever possible
Preparing for and conducting hearings before the Missouri Ethics Commission, the Administrative Hearing Commission, or Circuit Court when necessary
Providing information and assistance to the Commission, its employees, and the general public as needed

Qualification

Required

JD degree from an accredited university
Eligible for admission to the Missouri Bar
