INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/ENTARCH)
The United States Air Force is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to serve as the 432 Wing Special Access Program Information Systems Security Manager. The role involves advising on cybersecurity and information security for network infrastructure and overseeing the acquisition and integration of IT assets.

Responsibilities
Serves as the principle advisor to the Wing Commander and Director of Advanced Programs on the latest industry and technological projections as they pertain to SAP Cyber Security/Information Security for the network enclave infrastructure
Maintain and report IS and PIT systems assessment and authorization status and issues in accordance with DoD Component guidance
Plans and coordinates all phases of the acquisition, implementation, and integration of IT assets
Provides oversight in the daily operations for security activities for the enclave. Continually assesses policy needs and interprets broad DoD, AF, and other higher headquarters guidance and applies it through development of policies for the area of responsibility
Maintains security risk management for protecting a DoD SAP element's ability to perform its mission, and its information assets

Position is designated Special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Incumbent must complete appropriate training and obtain required certifications IAW DoDI 8140, DOD 8570.01M for Cyber workforce as an IA Manager Level 3 and maintain annual Information Technology Certification level requirements
Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement
The employee may be required to travel TDY, sometimes on short notice, traveling in military and/or commercial aircraft or by other designated means
The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours and tours of duty such as overtime, weekends, callback, uncommon tour of duty, holidays, etc
The employee will be required to have, or obtain, and maintain a valid driver's license
This is a deployable position. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety
This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations
In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Information Technology (IT) Management Series, GS-2210 (Alternate A)
Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving AND one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12 (or equivalent in other pay systems)
Knowledge of budgetary processes, cost-benefit analysis methods, and analysis of performance data to prepare persuasive budget recommendations in support of IT requirements
Ability to analyze complexities of existing technology, review/revise/develop policy, initiate plans for enhancements, and provide management sufficient technical and cost analysis information, through written documentation and oral briefings, to render informed judgments
Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances and predict how management can meet future requirements
