Robert E. Lee & Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Wetland Ecologist to join their natural resources consulting team in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. This role involves supporting environmental projects focused on wetland delineation, permitting, and habitat restoration throughout Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

Assist in the identification, assessment, and documentation of wetlands, supporting permitting and restoration efforts in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Conduct wetland delineations in accordance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Regional Supplements (Midwest, Northcentral, Northeast) and Wisconsin DNR guidelines
Perform functional value assessments and contribute to mitigation planning and design
Prepare wetland permit applications and related technical documentation
Support ecological restoration projects, including native plantings, brush management, and prescribed burns
Travel to various project sites and work outdoors in varying environmental conditions

Required

B.S. Degree in Botany, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related Natural Resource field
2–5+ years of relevant experience in wetland delineations, permitting, and restoration
Strong understanding of wetland ecology, native Wisconsin/Midwestern plant and animal species, and hydric soil identification
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple active projects
Familiarity with GPS equipment, GIS software, and Microsoft Office programs
Willingness to work extended hours in the field as needed and travel occasionally for project work

Preferred

Experience with restoration site implementation (e.g., mowing, planting, brush-cutting, prescribed burns)
Positive attitude and strong client-relations skills
