SHIFT MANAGER - FACILITIES
Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana is seeking a Shift Manager for Facilities to oversee daily operations and ensure high standards of maintenance and cleaning. The role involves supervising a team, coordinating maintenance projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while providing exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities
Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Northern Indiana their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service
Responsible for leading a team of skilled and semi-skilled team members to ensure the overall maintenance and cleaning of the facility meets the high standards established by the organization
Approves work schedules and assigns projects for facilities maintenance and environmental services to ensure maintenance and cleaning standards are met
Performs duties such as coaching, mentoring, corrective counseling, motivation of staff, interviewing for hiring, establishing training programs and conducting training. Conducts team member evaluations
Conducts periodic inspections of the facility to ensure quality and production standards are adhered to. Creates and assigns work where needed to ensure facility is maintained to high standards
Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety and environmental standards, as well as relevant state, local, and national codes. Ensure staff are properly trained
Enters and documents all work into CMMS program. Monitors CMMS reports to make necessary adjustments to staffing to ensure productivity is maximized and properly utilized
Ability to operate and make changes to a Building Automation System
Ensure preventive maintenance work is completed in accordance with schedules. Coordinates and oversees contracted workers to ensure work is completed in accordance with service agreements or defined scope
In conjunction with directors, managers and shift supervisors, conducts detailed public area inspections to ensure adherence to quality and production standards and to identify problems
Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate department head to ensure minimal guest interruption
Prepares reports as required
React in a timely manner to emergency situations. Resolves guest issues to ensure total customer satisfaction
Participates in the development and reconciliation of departmental operating and capital budgets
Participates in meetings as required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma, trade school certificate or Associate Degree
1 to 3 years of experience in commercial / industrial facilities maintenance and/or housekeeping, janitorial supervisory experience
Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission
Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass drug screening
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours
Knowledge of regulatory requirements

Knowledge of hand and power tools and testing equipment
Knowledge of cleaning equipment and processes
Management and interpersonal skills
Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to motivate others, and budget preparation
Ability to be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed

Ability to train Team Members as required
Ability to remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere
Ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance
Ability to work with a wide range of power tools, saws, drills, planers, and air tools as well as basic hand tools
Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to occasionally work in high, precarious places such as on roofs or scaffolding
Ability to respond to service calls in efficient manner
Preferred
1 to 3 years of experience in a hospitality/gaming environment
Tow Motor license and Lift Truck Certification
Previous experience with computerized maintenance management systems
Previous experience working with Building Automation Systems
