Responsibilities
Defends and handles workers' compensation cases under the state administrative process at the WCAB (trial level), as well as State Courts
Conducts investigation, interviews witnesses, analyzes medical and factual reports of injury for client recommendations and legal handling
Communicates effectively with clients, opposing parties, co-counsel to resolve issues
Takes depositions, analyzes testimony, prepares deposition related reports
Represents the Firm in appearances at hearings and conferences and prepares hearing reports
Researches, prepares and files appropriate legal pleadings for cases under the state administrative process (trial level) as well as State Courts
Prepares exposure analysis
Negotiates settlements with opposing counsel per client settlement authority
