TEC Attorney I-III (Enforcement)

The Texas Ethics Commission is responsible for overseeing ethical standards in Texas government. The TEC Attorney I-III will provide information and coordinate activities for the State Board of Education, assisting in policy evaluation and maintaining official records.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Works with the Board in organizing meeting agenda; keeps minutes of State Board meetings
Advises the Board regarding pertinent educational issues and policies; conducts research and disseminates information as requested by the Board
Coordinates with the Chairman of the Board and his/her staff in matters requiring Board action; serves as contact person for relating and disseminating Board policies
Maintains official records of all matters pertaining to the State Board and the institutions under its control; keeps records of official actions of the Chairman and the Board
Maintains and updates the Board policy manual

Required

Under the administrative direction of the Tennessee State Board of Education, is responsible for professional administrative work of average difficulty; and performs related work as required
Provides information to and coordinates activities of members of the State Board of Education in order to facilitate their evaluation and determination of pertinent goals, objectives, policies and procedures of public schools, special schools, and vocational education programs
Works with the Board in organizing meeting agenda; keeps minutes of State Board meetings
Advises the Board regarding pertinent educational issues and policies; conducts research and disseminates information as requested by the Board
Coordinates with the Chairman of the Board and his/her staff in matters requiring Board action; serves as contact person for relating and disseminating Board policies
Maintains official records of all matters pertaining to the State Board and the institutions under its control; keeps records of official actions of the Chairman and the Board
Maintains and updates the Board policy manual
