Responsibilities

Casting manufacturing equipment design capability to improve production equipment efficiencies, sub-assembly or parts. Design development based on approval of capital budget to achieve define capacity target (at competitive cost) and safety guidelines. ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability as well as address any continuous product improvement projects

Work closely with internal and external manufacturing and associated groups. Interacting with ME and other groups to understand application requirements, analysis teams to develop design, component selection, supplier quality and cost

Communicate to effectively collaborate with various teams to deliver validated design solutions. Agreed internal target related to casting capacity improvement program on quality, cost and delivery aspects

Establishment of project charter, develop design concepts, review and get approval of design concepts with respective authorities, scope of work documents, identified the supplier, contractor and service provider. Established and released RFQ/RFI with help of category buyers to approved source, evaluation of bid and design proposal. highlight concern risk and appropriate overcome plant, closely work out with associated group to close LOTO and SFEMA as per define guideline, manage and monitor project work onsite from design to handover to respective group as per agreed timeline and SOW

Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design

Candidates must also manage their own development, continuously learning through experience and staying abreast of advancing technology

Required

This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial engineer or a related field

Experience as a manufacturing engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, or related occupation

Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation

Developing concept and production solutions to complex assemblies and modules to meet application requirements

Performing initial complex structural simulations to support concept down select

Experience with component design, improvement design of production equipment & validation

Experience in 3D design with CREO, SolidWorks etc

Expertise and experience component design and technical issue resolution

Experience in NPI and APQP process
