Responsibilities
Lead and manage the VDC team, ensuring all deliverables meet project goals and quality standards
Oversee engineering for design-build projects, collaborating with sales and project teams on requirements, codes, and customer needs
Provide BIM coordination for design-build and plan/spec projects, maintaining and enforcing BIM standards
Support the sales team with accurate drawings, models, and renderings for proposals and presentations
Coordinate models from multiple stakeholders, resolving design conflicts across trades
Develop system installation drawings based on field measurements, optimized for fabrication and installation
Review equipment selections with vendors to ensure designs are efficient and installation-friendly
Facilitate communication among engineers, architects, clients, vendors, and internal teams to maintain alignment and resolve issues proactively
Conduct on-site surveys and utilize scanning/total station equipment for accurate design execution
Manage project documentation and revision control, ensuring all updates are tracked and communicated
Coordinate third-party engineering and design partners to meet deadlines and control costs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Strong proficiency with BIM tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks
Solid understanding of MEP systems, industry codes, and standards
Leadership experience managing engineering and drafting teams
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
Willingness to engage in fieldwork and navigate construction environments safely
