Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake
Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and views for analytics
Optimize queries and storage for performance and cost efficiency
Deploy, Configure and manage Snowflake accounts, roles, and permissions
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
Implement best practices for data governance and security
Configure role-based access control (RBAC) and data security policies
Ensure compliance with organizational data governance and regulatory standards
Manage encryption, masking, and secure data sharing
Integrate Snowflake with cloud storage, APIs, and third-party tools
Automate workflows using orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt)
Support CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects
Integrate Snowflake with cloud storage, ETL tools, and enterprise systems
Develop reusable scripts for operational tasks and platform management
Partner with data engineers, analysts, and BI teams to enable efficient workflows
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Snowflake-related issues
Document platform architecture, operational procedures, and best practices
Provide technical guidance on Snowflake capabilities and best practices
Document processes, standards, and architecture

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing
3+ years of experience in Snowflake administration and platform engineering
Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL development
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and data integration techniques
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Understanding of data security, networking, role-based access, identity management and governance

Preferred

Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core or Advanced Architect)
Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools
Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
Exposure to data modeling and performance tuning and cost optimization strategies in Snowflake
Certifications in Snowflake or cloud technologies
