Senior Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities

Provides administrative support for all academic functions of the Division, such as preparing grant preparation and correspondence in final form, gathering data for statistical reports, and monitoring departmental budgets
Performs secretarial functions, including screening calls and visitors, typing and filing
Provides non-clinical support to fill in absence of Director
Duties require a thorough knowledge of Director's areas of responsibility to serve as resource for department and conduct special projects
Acts as a resource to internal and external staff regarding activities of the Division

Qualification

Secretarial skillsMedical terminologyInterpersonal communicationComputer literacyFluency in English

Required

High school graduate with at least one year of college or business school with training in secretarial procedures
Three to five years relevant experience required
Must be computer literate
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent secretarial skills
Must be fluent in the English language

Preferred

Familiarity with hospital or health care procedures
Background in medical terminology
