Penn State University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join their dynamic Student Affairs team as a Part-Time Administrative Support. The Administrative Assistant will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of departmental initiatives, coordinating meetings, managing communication channels, and handling inquiries.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule meetings for Student Affairs staff and campus partners

Manage departmental communication channels, including discussion listservs and social media updates

Handle telephone inquiries and manage incoming/outgoing mail correspondence

Process purchases and track budget items to ensure fiscal accountability

Required

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for budget tracking and reporting

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Zoom

Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and external partners

Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities

A teachable spirit and willingness to learn new systems and platforms

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
