Responsibilities
Experience with configuring the z/OS operating system and installing software upgrades, patching and usermods using the System Modification Program Extended (SMP/E) tool (DAY TO DAY FOR THE ROLE/Must haves)
Experience with coding utilities and usermods in Restructured Extended Executor (REXX) and Basic Assembly Language (BAL) programming languages
Experience with generating complex server, storage and network hardware configurations using the Hardware Configuration Definition (HCD) tool (TOP SKILL)
Experience with configuring mainframe server logical partitions (LPARs) using the Hardware Management Console (HMC) tool
Experience with defining security rules for the z/OS operating system using the Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) tool
Experience with change, incident and problem management processes and tooling
Qualification
Required
5+ years experience as long as they know how to walk through a z/OS project and provide examples
Experienced mainframe z/OS operating system systems programmer/system administrator (TOP SKILL)
Experience with configuring the z/OS operating system and installing software upgrades, patching and usermods using the System Modification Program Extended (SMP/E) tool (DAY TO DAY FOR THE ROLE/Must haves)
