Special Projects Coordinator
Fullerton College is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Program Coordinator to support the implementation of the Autonomous Systems Technician Training Hub. This role involves directing and coordinating project activities, ensuring alignment with goals and compliance, and engaging with various stakeholders to facilitate project success.
Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day activities of the Autonomous Systems Technician Training Hub to ensure milestones and deliverables are met on schedule
Support the Program Lead in maintaining alignment between project activities, grant objectives, and workforce outcomes
Track implementation progress across curriculum development, industry engagement, outreach, and program launch activities
Assist with scheduling and coordination of meetings, trainings, site visits, and events (including BILT meetings and employer engagement activities)
Coordinate with internal and external evaluators to support data collection, tracking, and reporting requirements
Maintain accurate project records, including attendance logs, partner engagement documentation, curriculum artifacts, and workforce metrics
Assist in compiling quarterly and final performance reports for funders and institutional leadership
Ensure documentation supports equity, workforce, and outcomes reporting requirements outlined in the grant
Serve as a liaison between the Program Lead, faculty, industry partners, workforce agencies, and college departments
Support coordination with industry partners involved in internships, apprenticeships, and work-based learning
Assist with communication and follow-up related to MOUs, letters of commitment, and partner participation
Support fiscal and administrative processes in coordination with the college’s grants and fiscal offices
Assist with tracking allowable activities and expenditures relative to project timelines (budget oversight remains with fiscal agent)
Ensure compliance with institutional, district, and grant requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Demonstrated experience coordinating programs, projects, or initiatives—preferably in education, workforce development, or technical training environments
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
Experience with data tracking, documentation, and record-keeping for grants or funded projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with common productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, shared drives, project trackers)
Preferred
Experience working with grant-funded workforce or CTE programs
Familiarity with industry partnerships, apprenticeships, or work-based learning models
Experience supporting evaluation or reporting for state or federal grants
Knowledge of or interest in autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, robotics, or related technical fields
Experience working in or with community colleges or public education institutions
Demonstrated commitment to equity, access, and workforce pathways for underrepresented populations
