Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing, and building components
Operate and inspect mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, structural, and control systems to ensure optimal facility performance, safety, and code compliance
Conduct routine facility inspections and respond to work orders using building automation and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Maintain detailed records for equipment, including readings, service actions, and maintenance logs
Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory codes; maintain clean and safe work areas, including proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials
Monitor and evaluate the quality, cost, and timeliness of maintenance work performed by outside contractors

Required

High school diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of experience in building engineering (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems)
Stationary Engineer license
EPA 608 Universal Certification
Valid state driver's license

Preferred

Technical or trade schooling related to HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or plumbing
Experience with Corrigo or similar CMMS platforms
Additional HVAC certifications (e.g., NATE, RSES, manufacturer-specific)
Experience in commercial, industrial, or multi-tenant facilities
Experience with building automation systems and fire/life safety controls
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and CMMS platforms
