Clinical Data Abstracter - Lymphoma Myeloma
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer patient care, research, education, and prevention. The Clinical Data Abstracter will be responsible for abstracting and coding clinical data from patient medical records to support research in hematologic malignancies.

Abstracting and coding clinical and research data from patient medical records using established classification systems
Ensures data quality through interactive reviews and enters information in coded form according to institutional, state, and accreditation guidelines
Contribute to special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
2 years Experience in tumor registry, healthcare or related field
Demonstrate accuracy in abstracting and coding clinical and research data from patient records using standardized classification systems
Ensures data quality through interactive reviews and enters information in coded form according to institutional, state, and accreditation guidelines
Strong understanding of medical terminology, imaging reports, and pathology reports
Preferred
Associate's Degree
College courses in medical terminology, anatomy or physiology
BS degree in a basic science or a foreign medical degree
Prior experience working in hematologic malignancies such as leukemia, myeloma, or lymphoma
Background in blood cancers
