Responsibilities

Use molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, and genomic techniques to define mechanisms underlying chromosome stability
Analyze data and maintain detailed experimental records
Collaborate with other scientists in the department and beyond
Keep excellent digital records
Prepare manuscripts and presentations for conferences
Apply for outside funding, with help from the PI, as eligible

Required

Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics, or other relevant area; M.D.; or equivalent
Interest in learning new techniques and exploring complex biological questions
Ability to interpret experimental data and summarize findings
Commitment to participate in lab and departmental activities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated initiative in independent research projects
Strong teamwork and collaborative skills

Preferred

Prior research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, or cell biology
