Responsibilities

Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment
Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications
Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college in technical disciplines (e.g. engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g. math, physics, chemistry, etc.) anything else related
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
The ability to work an evolving shift schedule that will include weekend and off-shift hours, as required to support program objectives
Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance and US Citizenship required

Preferred

Experience in Manufacturing or Quality engineering position
Knowledge of Quality Systems and Processes
Ability to develop performance metrics using Microsoft Excel and take appropriate action
Demonstrated knowledge of non-conformance handling and disposition
Experience with human spaceflight NASA/DCMA customers
Experience with working in an Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO) and Production environment
Experience in Design/Test Readiness/Manufacturing Readiness Reviews
Certified in lean, six-sigma quality engineering methodologies and root cause corrective action training/certification
Knowledge of SAP operating systems, Automation Framework, EPDM, P2P, and VECAMS
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and/ or technical specifications
ASQE certified
