Responsibilities

Manage the preparation and submission of SEC filings, ensuring all financial statements meet U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards
Create and maintain a quarterly reporting schedule, coordinating efforts across internal teams, auditors, and legal advisors
Oversee the development of financial disclosures, including footnotes, management analysis, and supporting materials for earnings releases and investor communications
Monitor compliance requirements through a disclosure checklist and lead the adoption of new accounting standards across the organization
Draft technical accounting documentation and collaborate with auditors and leadership to resolve complex reporting issues

Required

A minimum of 4+ years in public accounting, ideally at a manager level within a Big Four firm
At least 3+ years of experience in a public company environment with direct involvement in SEC reporting
Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting research
Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage cross-functional projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Proven track record in preparing and reviewing SEC filings such as annual and quarterly reports

Preferred

Familiarity with financial reporting systems and ERP platforms; experience with NetSuite
Prior background in financial services or brokerage operations
Ability to build strong collaborative relationships across departments and external partners
Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and automation in reporting workflows
