Responsibilities
Schedules inmate visits and verifies the identity of all facility visitors (attorneys, probation/parole, volunteers)
Processing of inmate and facility mail
Answering and directing phone calls
Sorting and filing documents
Routine data entry
Assist administrative staff with typing memos, reports and notices
Maintain hard copies of inmate files
Utilizing the OIS system to input inmate file information
Perform other duties as assigned
Working and/or giving breaks at the switchboard
Qualification
Required
Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent
Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work
Official transcript or diploma, training or licensure earned pertaining to this position must be submitted by the closing date of the posting
Preferred
College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience
Benefits
$5000 will be added to the minimum starting rate of pay for all classifications within a Critical Vacancy Pay Supplemental Facility.
Employees in this classification shall receive an annual base building pay differential each fiscal year of $250 after completing one year of service.
